At this stage you’ve got your SEO goals, keywords, optimised web pages and your ready to start building awareness and links to your great webpage. You can do this yourself by posting the link to the webpage in comments on relevant blogs and forums, sharing it through social media like Facebook and Twitter and even create links on websites directories like Yelp, Google Local and Bing Local. It’s a lot of work and don’t forget to be aware of the “nofollow” links, mentioned in the SEO coding post.
It would be much better if you could just get others to do the SEO link building for you. The best way to increase your Google ranking is through fresh, new and relevant content that engages users and makes them want to share and link to your web page. This way the users will create the links, share through social media which will drive more traffic to your website and as it becomes more popular, Google will recognise this and your ranking will increase.
The result will mean a better ranking for you but also happy users. And if we have happy users then they’ll create more traffic and more potential business. People will return to websites they like and they’ll return for new content. If you don’t add new content regularly, if users don’t like what they find on your website or users don’t find it useful then there’s not much incentive to return.
SEO link building will be much easier if you provide something people want.
There’s already a lot of websites on the web that offer no value and are difficult to use. Don’t add yours to that list. Remember your SEO Goals and KPIs? Those are the items you want to complete. Is the content helping you complete those goals?
